Retail Finance & Controlling • Design and support retail financial controlling processes • Enable store-level, region-level, and channel profitability • Manage cost allocation across stores, distribution centers, and corporate • Support margin analysis for promotions, discounts, and markdowns ________________________________________ CO PA (Retail Profitability Analysis) • Configure and support: o Account-based CO PA (mandatory in S/4HANA) o Costing-based CO PA (if legacy exists) • Design: o Retail-specific characteristics: Store / Site Channel (POS, eCommerce, Wholesale) Article / Product hierarchy Customer / Franchise o Value fields for: Net sales Discounts / promotions Cost of goods sold (COGS) Freight / logistics costs • Integrate CO PA with: o SAP CAR (POS revenue flows) o SD billing (B2B retail) o FI AR postings • Provide: o Real-time margin reporting o Contribution margin by store, product, and channel ________________________________________ CO PC (Retail Product Costing) • Configure product costing for retail articles • Maintain: o Cost component structures o Costing variants • Perform: o Standard cost calculation (CK11N / CK40N) o Cost roll-up for merchandise • Handle: o Procurement-based costing (vs manufacturing-heavy) o Freight and landed cost allocation • Integrate with: o MM (material valuation, purchasing) o Retail pricing conditions ________________________________________ SAP CAR Integration (Retail Differentiator) • Work with SAP CAR data to: o Understand POS transaction flows o Align revenue postings with CO PA • Ensure: o Proper aggregation logic impact on profitability o Correct mapping of returns and adjustments Critical for high-volume retail environments |
